Objective

Many of you may have done some fairly unstructured searches for sequence information and literature at NCBI/NLM. Today we'll be looking at the data carried by NCBI and some partner institutions to explore the best ways to get the information we want controlling the specificity and sensitivity of the search appropriate to our needs.

You will proceed through an NCBI workshop that we've customized to look at the sorts of sequences we're interested in this semester.
