Michael Greene came to
UMDNJ in September of 1992. While primarily responsible for the
coordination of the day-to-day administrative,
fiscal and confidential activities for the Informatics Institute
and its Director, Associate Directors, Program Coordinator and
staff he is also instrumental in handling special projects, activities,
and preparation of presentations and logistics for meetings,
conferences and symposia. Mr. Greene is also responsible for
the interface and integration with UMDNJ departments and senior
UMDNJ administration and faculty while serving as liaison with
external organizations, government agencies and private sector
companies.
During his years at UMDNJ he has served as a technician and
specialist in the George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences
on the Newark Campus, worked as Web-site manager and alumni affairs
coordinator for other academic departments and currently serves
as the Program Development Analyst for the Informatics Institute
at UMDNJ. It was during his time in the Smith Library that Mr.
Greene was recruited to serve as project assistant for the IAIMS
(Integrated Advanced Information Management Systems) Grant initiative
that was beginning at UMDNJ. He has stayed an active part of
the IAIMS activities here at UMDNJ through the planning phase
and currently also serves as the Project Assistant for the IAIMS
Operational Phase Grant Project. Mr. Greene holds an undergraduate
degree in International Business and a MBA from the Rutgers University
Graduate School of Management in Operations Management.
